Reference Data (SmartLists)

Reference Data (SmartLists)

FastBound maintains standardized lists of values — called SmartLists — that are used throughout the compliance system. CloudFFL syncs these lists so that when you create products, log acquisitions, or record dispositions, you are picking from the same official values that FastBound recognizes.

Where to Find Reference Data

Navigate to FastBound → Configuration → Reference Data. You will see the synced SmartLists organized by type.

When Syncing Happens

  • Automatic — SmartLists sync automatically when you activate a FastBound configuration (change state from Draft to Active)
  • Manual — You can trigger a sync at any time from the FastBound configuration form. Open your active configuration and use the sync action.

Why SmartLists Matter

Using standardized values prevents data mismatches. For example, if you type "S&W" but FastBound expects "Smith & Wesson," the records will not match correctly. SmartLists ensure everyone is using the same names and spellings.

Tip: If you are creating a new product and cannot find the correct manufacturer or caliber in the dropdown, try syncing the reference data first. FastBound may have added new entries since your last sync. If the value still does not appear, it may need to be added in your FastBound cloud account first.
