What is a Contact?
In CloudFFL, a contact is any person or business you deal with — customers who buy firearms and accessories, vendors you order from, and other businesses you work with. They all live in the Contacts app.
Think of it as your digital address book. Instead of keeping customer info on index cards or spreadsheets, everything is in one place and connected to every sale, invoice, and delivery.
Two Types of Contacts
- Individual — A single person (most walk-in customers). Examples: John Smith, Mary Jones.
- Company — A business or organization. Examples: Lipsey's, Springfield Police Department.
When creating a contact, you choose Individual or Company at the top of the form.
What a Contact Stores
- Name, address, phone, and email
- Whether they are a Customer, Vendor, or both
- Internal notes
- Full history of every sale, invoice, and delivery linked to them
Where to Find Contacts
- Click Contacts from the app grid, or
- From the Sales app, go to Orders → Customers
Tip: Both paths show the same records. Adding a customer through Sales is the same as adding through Contacts.
