What is NMI?

NMI (Network Merchants Inc.) is a payment gateway — it is the system that processes credit card, debit card, and ACH payments for your business. When a customer pays with a card, NMI securely handles the transaction between your point of sale and the customer's bank.

How It Fits into CloudFFL

CloudFFL integrates with NMI so you can accept card payments directly from your sales orders and Point of Sale without needing a separate terminal or website. The flow looks like this:

Customer is ready to pay
You click Pay by Card in CloudFFL
CloudFFL sends the payment request to NMI
NMI processes the card with the customer's bank
The result (approved or declined) comes back to CloudFFL
CloudFFL records the payment automatically

What NMI Handles

Credit card payments — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover
Debit card payments — processed as credit transactions
Refunds — return money to a customer's card
Void transactions — cancel a payment before it settles
Recurring payments — for layaway or payment plans (if configured)
