What is a Product in Odoo?

In CloudFFL, a product is anything you sell, buy, or keep in stock. Firearms, ammunition, accessories, optics, services like FFL transfers or gunsmithing — they are all products in the system.

What Counts as a Product?

Firearms — handguns, rifles, shotguns
Ammunition — boxes of 9mm, .223, 12-gauge
Accessories — holsters, magazines, slings, cases
Optics — red dots, scopes, iron sights
Services — FFL transfer fees, gunsmithing labor

The Product Form

Each product has its own record with key information:

Product Name — e.g., "Glock 19 Gen5 9mm"
Product Type — Storable, Consumable, or Service
Sales Price — what you charge customers
Cost — what you pay your distributor
Internal Reference — your SKU or part number
Barcode — the manufacturer UPC
Category — Handguns, Ammo, Accessories, etc.

Tip: You do not need to enter every product on day one. Start with your most popular items and add more as you go.
