Viewing Activity Logs
Every time CloudFFL communicates with ShipStation — whether it is syncing carriers, exporting an order, or generating a label — it creates a log entry. These logs help you see what happened and troubleshoot any issues.
Finding the Logs
- Open the ShipStation app.
- Click Logs in the left menu.
- By default, you will see today's logs, with the most recent entries at the top.
Understanding Log Entries
Each log entry shows:
- Date — When the action happened
- Instance — Which ShipStation connection was used
- Operation — What was being done (e.g., "Sync Carriers", "Export Shipment", "Generate Label")
- Status — The result, color-coded for quick scanning:
- Green (Success) — Everything worked
- Red (Error) — Something went wrong
- Yellow (Warning) — It worked, but there was something to note
- Message — A short description of what happened
Getting More Detail
Click on any log entry to see the full details:
- A longer description of what happened
- The related delivery order (if applicable)
- How long the operation took (in seconds)
- If debug mode is on, the full technical details of the request and response
Filtering Logs
Use the filters at the top of the log list to find what you need:
- Status — Show only successes, errors, or warnings
- Today / Last 7 Days — Quick date filters
- Group By — Group entries by instance, operation type, status, or date
Tip: If an order did not ship correctly or a sync seems off, check the logs first. The error messages usually tell you exactly what went wrong.
