Connecting Your NMI Account
ToBefore processyou can accept credit card payments through CloudFFL, you need to connect your NMI merchant(Network Merchants Inc.) account. This is a one-time setup.setup that links your payment processor to your CloudFFL system.
What You Need Before You Start
- An active NMI merchant account (provided by your payment processor)
- Your
NMISecurity Key (sometimesalso called an API Key) —foundthisinletsyourCloudFFL communicate with NMI - Your
consoleTokenization Key — this allows customers' card numbers to be stored securely without exposing the actual card data
FindingWhere to Find Your Keys in NMI Security Key
- Log in to your NMI
merchant consoledashboard athttps://secure.networkmerchants.nmi.com Go toClick Settings→in the left-hand menu- Click Security Keys
CopyYouryourSecurityexistingKeykey,(APIorKey) is listed on this page. If you do not have one, click Add a Security Key and select the appropriate permissions.- Your Tokenization Key is listed in the same section. If you do not see one, click Add a Tokenization Key to generate
a new oneit.
Keep thisyour keykeys secureprivate. —Your itSecurity grantsKey and Tokenization Key give direct access to process payments on your accountpayment processing account. Never share them over email, paste them into a support chat, or store them in an unsecured document. Treat them like passwords.
ConfiguringConnecting NMI into CloudFFL
- In CloudFFL, go to
Settings → Payment Providers(orInvoicingAccounting → Configuration → Payment Providers) SelectClick NMI from the list of available providersPasteInyourthe Security Keyinfield, paste theAPISecurity Keyfieldyou copied from your NMI dashboard- In the Tokenization Key field, paste your Tokenization Key. This enables CloudFFL to save customer card information securely for future transactions.
- Set the State to Test Mode
first to verify the connection - Click Save
Important: Start inwith Test Mode. Test Mode lets you run practice transactions without charging real money. This is the best way to confirmmake sure everything worksis connected correctly before goingyou go live. TestOnce Modeyou useshave NMI'sconfirmed sandboxthat —test notransactions are working, come back to this screen and switch the State to Enabled to begin processing real charges are made.payments.
Tip: If you do not have an NMI account yet, contact your payment processor or CloudFFL support to get set up.
