Creating a New Product

Here is how to add a new product to CloudFFL.

Step by Step

  1. Go to Inventory → Products → Products (or Sales → Products → Products).
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter the Product Name — be descriptive so you can find it later. Example: "Glock 19 Gen5 9mm" rather than just "Glock."
  4. Set the Product Type:
    • Storable for firearms, ammo, and accessories you track in inventory
    • Service for transfer fees and labor
  5. Enter the Sales Price — what you charge customers.
  6. Enter the Cost — what you pay the distributor.
  7. Optionally set the Internal Reference (your SKU) and Barcode (UPC).
  8. Select a Product Category (e.g., Handguns, Rifles, Ammunition).
  9. Click Save.

The Product Image

Click the camera placeholder in the top-right of the form to upload a product photo. This is optional but helpful for identification.

Tip: Use a consistent naming convention. For firearms: "Brand Model Caliber" (e.g., "Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm"). For ammo: "Brand Caliber Grain Count" (e.g., "Federal 9mm 115gr FMJ 50rd").
