What is a Sales Order?
What is a Sales Order?
A sales order is your record of what a customer is buying from you. Every time you sell a firearm, ammunition, accessories, or a service, you create a sales order to track the transaction.
A sales order records:
- Who is buying (the customer)
- What they are buying (products and quantities)
- How much they are paying
- When the sale happened
- The status of the order (draft, confirmed, delivered, invoiced)
Why Use Sales Orders?
Instead of just ringing up a sale and handing over a receipt, CloudFFL's sales orders give you:
- Automatic inventory updates — When you deliver the product, stock counts go down
- Linked invoices — The invoice is created directly from the sales order, so amounts always match
- Complete history — Look up any past sale by customer, date, or product
- Reporting — See your total sales, top products, and revenue trends
Tip: All sales tools are under Sales → Orders in the top menu.
