What is ShipStation?
ShipStation is a shipping platform that connects to all the major carriers — UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, and more — so you can manage all your shipments from one place. The CloudFFL ShipStation integration brings that shipping power directly into your system, so you never have to copy and paste order details or switch between screens.
What It Does
- Ships orders automatically — When a sales order is ready to go, CloudFFL can send it straight to ShipStation for shipping, or even print a label for you right away.
- Pulls in tracking numbers — Once a package ships, the tracking number comes back into CloudFFL automatically. No manual entry needed.
- Syncs your carriers — Whatever shipping accounts you have set up in ShipStation (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.) will show up in CloudFFL automatically.
- Syncs your warehouses — If you have one location or several, ShipStation keeps them in sync with CloudFFL.
- Handles returns — You can create return shipping labels without leaving CloudFFL.
- Supports batch shipping — Need to ship 50 orders at once? You can group them into a batch and print all the labels in one go.
Two Ways to Ship
The integration gives you two options depending on how your shop works:
- Label Mode — CloudFFL prints the shipping label for you automatically when you mark an order as ready. Best for shops where you pack and ship from the same place you manage orders.
- Export Mode — CloudFFL sends the order details to ShipStation, and your warehouse team picks the carrier and prints the label from ShipStation directly. Best for shops where the person managing orders is not the same person packing boxes.
Who Can Use It
ShipStation features are available based on your role:
- Standard users can view shipping information, carriers, and warehouses. They can also export orders and create batches.
- Managers can sync data, manage carriers, and process shipments.
- Administrators can set up the ShipStation connection and manage all settings.
