End-of-Day Manifests

A manifest (sometimes called a "SCAN form" or "end-of-day form") is a summary document that tells the carrier about all the packages you shipped that day. Some carriers require a manifest — it speeds up the scanning process when the driver picks up your packages.

Creating a Manifest

  1. Open the ShipStation app.
  2. Go to Operations > Manifests.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Fill in the details:
    • ShipStation Instance — Select your connected account
    • Carrier — Select the carrier (you need one manifest per carrier per day)
    • Warehouse — Select which location the shipments are from
    • Ship Date — The date of the shipments (defaults to today)
  5. Click Create Manifest.

After Creation

ShipStation generates the manifest and returns:

  • The number of shipments included
  • A download link for the manifest document

Print the manifest and hand it to your carrier driver along with the packages. The driver scans the single manifest barcode instead of scanning every individual package.

Tip: Create your manifest at the end of the day, after all shipments for that carrier have been processed. Any shipments created after the manifest will not be included.
