Batch Shipping

If you have many orders to ship at once, batch shipping lets you group them together and generate all the labels in one go. This saves time when you are processing a large number of shipments.

Creating a Batch

  1. Open the ShipStation app.
  2. Click Batches in the left menu.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Give the batch a name (e.g., "Monday Morning Shipments").
  5. Select your ShipStation Instance.
  6. Choose your Label Format (PDF, PNG, or ZPL) and Label Size (4x6 or Letter).

Adding Orders to the Batch

  1. Click the Add Pickings button.
  2. A list of eligible orders appears — these are outgoing delivery orders that have already been exported to ShipStation and are ready to ship.
  3. Select the orders you want to include.
  4. Close the selection window.

You will see the selected orders listed in the Pickings section of the batch.

Processing the Batch

Batch processing happens in three steps:

Step 1: Create the Batch in ShipStation

  1. Click the Create Batch button.
  2. CloudFFL sends the group of orders to ShipStation.
  3. The status changes from "Draft" to "Open."

Step 2: Generate the Labels

  1. Click the Process Labels button.
  2. ShipStation starts generating labels for every order in the batch.
  3. The status changes to "Queued" and then "Processing."

Step 3: Check Progress

  1. Click Refresh Status to check how the batch is progressing.
  2. You will see the count of completed labels and any errors.
  3. When finished, the status changes to "Completed."

Downloading Labels

Once the batch is complete, a download link appears at the bottom of the batch page. Click it to download all the labels at once.

If some labels had errors, the batch status will show "Completed with Errors" and the error count will be displayed. You can review the error details on the batch page.

Tip: Batch shipping works best for orders that have already been exported to ShipStation. Make sure your orders are exported before adding them to a batch.
