What is Inventory in Odoo?
The Inventory app is where CloudFFL tracks everything you have in your store or warehouse. It knows how many of each product you have, where they are, and when they move.
What You Will Use Inventory For
- Checking stock levels — How many Glock 19s do I have? Am I running low on 9mm?
- Receiving shipments — Mark incoming products from your distributor as received
- Delivering to customers — Record when products leave your shop
- Counting inventory — Do physical counts to make sure your records match reality
- Moving products — Transfer items between locations (back room to showroom, etc.)
How It Connects
Inventory does not work in isolation. It is connected to your sales and purchasing:
- When you confirm a sales order, a delivery is created to take products out of inventory
- When you confirm a purchase order, a receipt is created to bring products into inventory
- Your stock levels update automatically as you validate these transfers
Tip: Open the Inventory app from the home screen grid. The main menu gives you access to Operations (transfers, receipts, deliveries), Products, and Reporting.
