Internal Transfers (Moving Between Locations)

Internal Transfers (Moving Between Locations)

An internal transfer moves products between locations within your warehouse — for example, from your Back Room to the Showroom, or to the Repair Bench.

When to Use Internal Transfers

  • Moving newly received firearms from the stock room to the display case
  • Sending a gun to the repair bench for service
  • Moving ammo from back stock to the retail shelves

Creating an Internal Transfer

  1. Go to Inventory → Operations → Internal Transfers.
  2. Click New.
  3. Set the Source Location (where the product is now).
  4. Set the Destination Location (where it is going).
  5. Click Add a line and select the product and quantity.
  6. Click Save, then Validate to complete the move.

Tip: If you only use one location (the default Stock location), you do not need internal transfers. They are only useful when you have set up multiple locations within your warehouse.
