Printing Receipts
Printing Receipts
Receipts are proof of purchase for your customers and a record of the transaction for your shop. Here is how receipts work in the POS.
Automatic Printing
If you have a receipt printer configured, a receipt prints automatically after every completed sale. You do not need to click anything extra — as soon as you validate the payment, the receipt prints.
What is on the Receipt
A standard POS receipt includes:
- Store name and address (from your company settings)
- Date and time of the transaction
- Items purchased — name, quantity, price for each line
- Subtotal, taxes, and total
- Payment method (Cash, Card) and amount
- Change given (for cash payments)
- Receipt/order number
- Any header or footer text you configured (return policy, FFL number, etc.)
Reprinting a Receipt
If a customer asks for another copy or the printer jammed:
Email Receipts
You can email a receipt instead of (or in addition to) printing one:
- Before completing the payment, assign a customer to the order who has an email address on file.
- After validating payment, click Send Receipt by Email (if available in your configuration).
Tip: Including your FFL number and return policy in the receipt footer saves time — customers always have the info they need right on the receipt.
